Pandora

In 1967, successful vocalist, songwriter and recording artist Carl Coccomo joined forces with the successful animation team, Max and Dave Fleischer (Betty Boop, Popeye).  The Fleischer brothers soon went their separate ways, but Dave Fleischer continued to work with Carl. One of the duo’s projects was the musical “Pandora.” The show was intended to be an animated feature with many songs slated to feature the Broadway star Marlys Watters (Show Boat, original London cast recording of West Side Story etc.). Unfortunately full production of “Pandora” never materialized. However, the original 1967 recordings of the Coccomo/Fleischer penned songs for this epic tale were preserved. The songs, many featuring the lovely Ms. Watters, have now found a home at Fervor Records. Fifty years after they were laid to tape Fervor Records offers up the “Mystical Magical Musical Madness” of “Pandora!”
