Tempe’s Pistoleros Ink with Fervor

The PistolerosFervor Records is excited to announce the addition of The Pistoleros to the Fervor roster. One of the true architects of the “Tempe Sound” The Pistoleros started out as Mill Avenue mainstays, The Chimeras. The legendary Doug Hopkins formed the group with Mark and Lawrence Zubia after Hopkins rocky exit with chart toppers, The Gin Blossoms. The Chimeras quickly exploded on the local scene but the ill-fated Hopkins departed the group before his untimely demise. The Zubias and crew continued to forge onward ultimately landing a major label deal with Hollywood Records. Changing their moniker to The Pistoleros they released their Hollywood debut, Hold On To Nothing.

The Pistoleros are already demoing new material for their upcoming Fervor Records release at the label’s Bomb Shelter Studio. The band’s deal with the label also encompasses The Chimeras 1995 release, Mistaken For Granted. Fervor is thrilled to welcome The Pistoleros!
