Hans Olson

Hans Olson’s credits read like a literal who’s who of the Blues. Hans has toured the world sharing the stage with luminaries including B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Joe Cocker, The Allman Brothers, ZZ Top, Tom Waits, Bonnie Raitt, Brownie McGhee, Dave Mason, Boz Skaggs, and that just scratches the surface. Endorsed by Lee Oskar Harmonicas Hans is well known as one of the best “harp in a rack” players in the world. His richly identifiable baritone voice was featured on the theme to Burt Reynold’s hit CBS TV show “Evening Shade.” Joining Hans on his many recordings are the likes of Dallas Taylor (CSN&Y), Al Kooper (Bob Dylan, Blood Sweat & Tears), Francine Reed (Lyle Lovett, Delbert McClinton, Willie Nelson), Mark Naftalin (Paul Butterfield, Mike Bloomfield) and Albert Lee (Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris) to name a few. McEuen (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band) has also produced many of Olson’s recordings. Hans has been named one of Arizona’s most influential musicians by Phoenix New Times and Phoenix Magazine, and was inducted in the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame in 1996.
