Martie Echito

Born in Upland California, Martie Echito’s musical aspirations lead him west to the nearby entertainment mecca of Los Angeles, California. The City of Angels quickly took note of the young multitalented singer, songwriter and musician. In 1970, Martie’s band, The Branch Estate, signed with Carousel Records and released their first single. After the band’s demise, Echito signed to Polydor Records with the band Waves. His songwriting skills quickly led to a publishing deal with April-Blackwood. Soon his songs were recorded by Epic Records recording artist Engelbert Humperdinck, and were featured on Rick Dees’ Atlantic Records release “I’m Not Crazy.” Martie performed and co-wrote with the popular English singer/songwriter Clifford T. Ward for his Mercury Records release “Nothing New.” Mr. Echito also had songs on the Sparrow, Emerald, Live Oak, and La Concha labels. Martie has shared the stage with the likes of Rick Dees, Cecilio & Kapono, Joey Travolta, and Stephen Stills to name a few. Fervor Records is proud to represent nearly 20 years of works from Mr. Echito, including his early Carousel Records single in 1970 through 1989.
