Peter Sivo Sr. passed away peacefully on January 14, 2019. He was 95. Peter was honorably discharged from the Navy after World War 2. The self-taught musician went to work playing in and arranging for big bands. He also hit the studios in NYC to record many of his songs. Throughout the decades, Peter wrote over 600 copyrighted compositions in a variety of genres including Jazz, Lounge and Country. Many of Peter’s wonderful recordings, from the 1940s to the 1980s have found a home at Fervor Records. Mr. Sivo’s songs have become some of the most licensed works in the company’s repertoire. The warmth of Peter’s spirit is truly reflected in his music. We are honored to continue to perpetuate the legacy of such an amazing man whose work continues to touch the hearts of countless listeners around the globe.
