Early 80’s Music Blog Profiles Fervor’s Vintage Masters Blue Shoes


Admittedly niche Punk and Power Pop music blog Cheap Rewards, known for its coverage of obscure 7″ vinyl from the late 70’s and early 80’s, recently spotlighted a lost track from Fervor Records artist Blue Shoes.  The recording that caught the blogger’s attention was a 1980 release called the “Someone Like You EP” (Living Room Records), featuring three songs on a 45-rpm disc.  In the height of their popularity, the 5-pc act opened for such legends as the Ramones and Talking Heads.  Their recent Fervor Vintage Masters release, Best of Blue Shoes, is available on iTunes.  And while it doesn’t include the title track of the EP mentioned, it does feature the only song on its B-side, “Better”.
