Bio

Hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, The Nervous formed in 1979 and quickly became a premier New Wave/Post-Punk band in the Valley of the Sun. Fronted by singer/guitarist Bil Bored, the band was a consistent draw in the city’s emerging Punk and New Wave scene. Bored, along with guitarist Mike Modern, keyboardist Kim O’Therapy, and drummer Brian Damage played hundreds of shows in the band’s short lived two year career. This included opening for the likes of Ultravox, The Stranglers, and Joan Jett, to name a few. The Nervous was also known for providing slots on their shows to other up and coming like-minded acts including Meat Puppets, JFA, Killer Pussy and The Feederz. The band’s single “Incurable Condition” perfectly captured the angst of the early 1980s. The song blew up the charts on Phoenix’s new Modern Rock station K-15 and landed in regular rotation. The brilliant recordings of The Nervous are now at home at Fervor Records.
