Founded in the 1950s by Shreveport, Louisiana industry trailblazer Myra Smith, who named the label after her sister. Myra also launched Ram Records. She relocated to Nashville in the 1960s and penned multiple chart-toppers, earning several BMI Songwriting Awards.
