Ex-Girlfriends Indie Film Hits Theaters This Week, Features Fervor Vintage Soul
Alexander Poe writes, directs and stars in this indie comedy about three New Yorkers trying to make sense of a complicated romantic network. Co-starring Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter) and Kristen Connolly (iChannel), the film features three savory soul selections from the Fervor Records archives.
Two 1968 recordings from Lon Rogers and the Soul Blenders made the cut (Blending Soul and My Girl’s A Soul Girl), as well as the funky 1967 track Do The Everything from Arizona’s big-voiced 14-year old soul phenome, Small Paul (pictured).
Catch Poe’s Ex-Girlfriends in NYC’s Cinema Village starting today Nov 28th, or stream it on iTunes immediately.
