John Warpinski

John Warpinski

Green Bay, WI native and vocalist John Warpinski, working in tandem with Bostonian and Latin Grammy-nominated composer John Finbury, captured the sound of Beantown in the early 1980s. Both were well known for their gigs around the greater Boston area. In 1980, with a cache of Finsbury-penned songs in tow, the duo started laying down tracks at Boston’s Downtown Studios, as well as the legendary Blue Jay Studios in Carlisle. The result was Warpinski’s smooth vocals floating over Finbury’s stellar compositions. Warpinski went on to forge an impressive career performing under the moniker John Warren, landing releases on Condor, H.I.T. Avenue, and Funhouse Records. Both his songs and distinctive voice also appeared on releases from A&M and Arista. Fervor Records is proud to be home to John Warpinski’s early soft rock classics.
