The indie feature “We Are The Shaggs” premiered at SXSW to rave reviews. The film tells the wild tale of the Wiggin sisters from Fremont, NH. In 1965, intent on fulfilling a childhood palm reading by his mother, their father forced his 3 teenage daughters to form a rock band he dubbed The Shaggs. In 1969, they released their 12 song opus, “Philosophy of the World.” Serious crate diggers have been hip to this bizarre outsider band for decades. Their tunes have landed on the playlists of everyone from Frank Zappa to Kurt Cobain. Fervor Records is now proud to be a small part of the story; the 1992 recording “Blood Of The Lamb/Power In The Blood” by Clay County appears in the film. Be on the lookout for “We Are The Shaggs,” and experience Clay County on “Satisfied Mind” now on Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and beyond!
