BabyCakes was discovered and developed by music industry veteran Steve Gordon. The sultry vocalist was heavily influenced by the female chart-toppers of her day including Jody Watley, Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam and Exposé. BabyCakes recorded a handful of catchy Pop/R&B songs in the mid-80s. While her music epitomizes the definitive sound of the 80s, the dream of a major label mega deal remained illusive. Fast forward a couple of decades and the music of BabyCakes has landed at Fervor Records. The label is working hard to get her brilliant work the love and respect it deserves.
