Derral Gleason’s rich career in music spans over five decades. Texas-born and Phoenix-raised, the multi-talented singer/songwriter/multi-multi-instrumentalist started out as the drummer for the influential Arizona Punk/New Wave outfit, Billy Clone and The Same (1979’s X and Y – EP). By the early 80s, Gleason relocated to Boulder, Colorado and fronted the New Wave/Power Pop bands Blitz Girls (1982’s Girl With Six Fingers – LP) followed by the Illustrious Illustrated Men (1989’s Ghost At The Feast – LP). His recent projects include The DG3 and eponymous solo efforts including; 2001’s self titled release, 2006’s “Toxic Grasshopper,” and 2022’s “If I Ever Make It To Mars.” Mr. Gleason has toured extensively overseas as well as in the United States, sharing the stage with acts including The Police, INXS, Iggy Pop and The Divinyls.
