Diane Frohman describes her musical DNA as an equal blend of Rock and R&B—a fusion that defines her soulful, dynamic style. She studied music at the University of Arizona, where she sharpened her songwriting and piano skills before heading to San Francisco in 1973. There, she found her voice on the club circuit, performing at renowned Bay Area venues like The Boarding House. Frohman’s songwriting took a leap forward through her collaboration with Robert Winters, co-writing a track for his Buddah Records debut Magic Man. Under Winters’ mentorship, she deepened her understanding of arranging, further shaping her artistic voice. Today, a rich collection of Diane Frohman’s original compositions and recordings lives on at Fervor Records.
