Mike McManus and Tony Oros formed Egodog in the late 1990s after an extended stint with the band Oslo. Tony’s impressive pipes ooze the best parts of ’90s grunge, rock, and alternative metal, and when paired with McManus’s giant guitar hooks, it’s no wonder these two clicked. Joe Higgins and Damian Pampena rounded out the quartet, sharing a mutual respect for well-crafted recordings and stellar musicianship. Egodog lit up stages across the U.S. and around the globe, with tours in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Japan. Their multiple CD releases garnered great reviews from critics and programming directors, including:
“It’s tight and precise, and while on the heavy side, it is very radio-friendly.” – Long Paul, Programming Director, KNAC
“Amazingly tight and with a lot of power… the rhythm section is as tight as a perfectly tuned engine. The guitar work is exquisite, and the emotionally loaded, soulful voice of Tony Oros is the icing on the cake. I could go on forever raving about this band.” – Undertow Magazine
“These guys are so close to breaking, it makes my butt itch.” – Long Paul, Programming Director, KNAC
“You know these guys are hard; they’ve been touring Bosnia and Kosovo, for Christ’s sake!” – Stephen Hanning, No Cover Magazine
Despite winning over critics and fans worldwide, the members of Egodog moved on to other musical ventures, but their legacy lives on at Fervor Records.
