In the ‘50s and ‘60s, Floyd Ramsey turned Phoenix, AZ into a hotbed of groundbreaking recording artists. His legendary studio, Audio Recorders of Arizona was to Phoenix what Sun Studio was to Memphis.
It was at Audio Recorders that visionary songwriter/producer Lee Hazlewood and a circle of musicians spearheaded hits for artists including Duane Eddy, Sanford Clark, Donnie Owens and Al Casey. Numerous charting singles epitomized this groundbreaking sound developed at Audio Recorders.
Fervor Records has unearthed 25 magnificent master recordings from Floyd’s vaults. We were amazed to find treasures that chronicle the career growth of such icons as Waylon Jennings and Wayne Newton. This incredible collection of songs personifies American Musical Culture from 1957-1967.
We hope you enjoy this experience as much as we do. Thanks for listening!
