Lab-Rats

1980s New Wave outfit, Lab-Rats, is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist, Jim Magnole. Incredibly, Jim wrote and recorded every note of the band’s two records out of his North Miami, FL apartment. Magnole’s talents would lead him to numerous adventures, opening for the likes of Brownsville Station and Edgar Winter, becoming a member of KC and The Sunshine Band and recording guitar on 4 LPs by 2 Live Crew, including their multi-platinum record “As Nasty As They Want To Be.” Mangole’s other original projects, Pop Kultur and Crown of Thorns, also reside at Fervor Records. Magnole’s Lab-Rats are a pure sonic treasure of incredible songs and musicianship. Fervor is thrilled to spotlight these stellar recordings that brilliantly capture the musical excitement of the era.
