Originating from Fostoria, Ohio, just south of Toledo, Parkers Band made their mark in the early-’80s pop/rock scene. The lineup included Steve Hockenberry (vocals, drums), DJ McIntosh (keys, guitar, vocals), Dave Coonrod (bass, vocals), and Denny McDonald (keyboards). In 1980, they teamed up with producer Ron Hanson at his Moseka Studios in Ohio, recording their debut single, “Thru Her Eyes” b/w “Over the Borderline,” released on Moseka Records. The single gained local airplay, fueling a busy tour schedule with club gigs and headline slots at regional festivals. In 1981, the band released their full-length album Steal Your Heart on Moseka Records, co-produced by Hanson and the band. Their sound captures the essence of early-’80s pop/rock, and Fervor Records is pleased to welcome Parkers Band to its roster.
