Arizona Grunge In Full Force From 1992

In the height of the Grunge era, Seattle wasn’t the only place pumping out disturbed, angsty “proto- metal”. Phoenix music icon Bruce Connole, who was known for his New Wave powerhouse band The Jetzons, teamed up with singer Jason Huff and moved into the 90’s with the quintessential discontented sound of Cryptics. Just as the band was breaking up, they put out a pair of critically acclaimed tracks on a 7” vinyl, which was the first release on Zia founder Brad Singer’s new label, Epiphany Records. The full recording session was intended to be an EP, and is now being released for the first time on Fervor Records. Put on your plaid flannel shirt and Doc Martens, and blast the Darker Side Of You until you just can’t take it anymore.
