Patrick Welch

Reverend Patrick Welch has been playing music since he was a small child. Patrick began on his father’s banjo before ultimately purchasing his own guitar – a prized Kay F hole. Soon after, he started a band called “Others Brothers,” taking cues from such bands as The Everly Brothers, and Peter Paul and Mary. He travelled throughout Europe as part of a men’s chorus in 1967. After his return, and while attending Duke University for graduate school, Welch continued to cut his teeth at local venues regularly performing his music at the legendary DC establishment The Cellar Door. Patrick went on to share the stage with such luminaries as Sonny Boy Williams and Stephen Stills. Welch eventually ventured into religious music and Fervor Records is proud to offer some of Patrick’s inspirational recordings.
