Fervor Records’ meticulously curated catalog of authentic period recordings continues to be highly regarded in the film industry. Since 2009, the company has contributed literally dozens of songs to films appearing at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival. This year is no exception as Fervor has six songs, featured in four films, in this year’s Sundance event in Park City, Utah. “A Futile and Stupid Gesture” features 1967’s “Blending Soul” by Soul Blenders, and 1979’s “Hog of the Road” by Z-Cars.” Appearing in “Puzzle” is 1974’s “Bringin’ It Home” by Sandy Szigeti. Heard in “The Miseducation of Cameron Post” is Fredda Manzo’s 1983 Pop masterpiece “She Was A Spirit.” And featured in “Hearts Beat Loud” is Dick Flood’s 1967 Totem Records single “Willow In The Wind” and “I’ll Pretend” by Glen Morris, originally released in 1957 on the Liberty Bell label.  It is a testament to the great songwriters, artists, producers, publishers, and labels of yesteryear to be included in so many wonderful projects.
