Spy The Gringos In The Americans (FX) This Week
The Americans
Good Days, a 1976 cut from The Gringos, is set to air in this week’s edition of The Americans.
The FX period-piece show (starring Keri Russell) takes place in the Cold War era and follows a pair of KGB agents posing as a US married couple. The popular spy series is a little over halfway through its first season but has already been renewed for a second.
The Gringos formed in Arizona in the early 70’s, but after hitting the road hard, ended up performing extensively throughout the Cape Cod area, where they had a strong following for their horn-rock sound.
The 8-piece band went on to be signed by UA (United Artists) and produced by Snuff Garrett.
Now part of the Fervor Records archives and soon to be released on the Vintage Masters line, audiences can get a sneak peak of the classic rock legacy of The Gringos this week.
The Americans episode 108 “Mutually Assured Destruction” airs Wednesday 3/20 at 10pm. Tune in to hear Good Days by The Gringos.
