In 1998, Northside producers 2 da Groove brought Southside Phoenix rapper Taco into their Sunnyslope studio. The resulting collaboration, Six Zero Deuce, brilliantly captured the late-’90s Chicano rap movement by weaving Taco’s skillful rhymes of his Latino lifestyle with the grit of the 6-0-2 streets.
