A Kansas City institution, Absolute Ceiling came together in 1984 as the brainchild of Mike Niewald and the late Jim Strahm. With the addition of bassist Cory Corbino and drummer Joe Gose, this dynamic and exciting band was born. The guys showcased their live chops by sharing the stage with some of the biggest acts of the time including Soul Asylum, The Bodines, and Alex Chilton. With their electrifying live show and their tunes finding a home on college radio, Absolute Ceiling saw their tight and energetic music spread throughout the Midwest, packing venues and gaining fans. Fervor is thrilled to be bringing this vital and vibrant music back into the fold.
