Singers/songwriters/guitarists Mara Hayes and Cory Fournier formed Just Jade in the early 2000s. The Phoenix, Arizona duo built on their mutual love of music to create a simple yet lush acoustic coffeehouse vibe. Hayes possesses the range that can provide both the power and nuance to compliment Fournier’s guitar parts allowing their sound to be both haunting and uplifting. This is brilliantly displayed on the duo’s 2002 CD “Fortunately Found.” Much of the Just Jade catalog now resides at Fervor Records.
