Bio
In the early 1970s, no one rocked Baltimore, Maryland quite like Hard Rock band Pen Lucy. The band took their name from the Baltimore enclave. Marty Fisher, George Layfield, Jim Samuel, Tom Thompson, and Denny Zwirlein were all previous members of Baltimore based Blue Eyed Soul outfit Bob Brady and the Con Chords. The band is best known for their international Northern Soul classic “Everybody’s Going To A Love In.”
Pen Lucy parlayed their Con Chords Soul chops into an emotive Hard Rock sound. The band gigged heavily throughout the region and were regular performers at the famed thoroughbred horse race Preakness Stakes. They also greeted the first Russian ship to ever set port in America. Fervor Records is privileged to be home to Pen Lucy’s incredible recordings from ’71 – ’73.
