After hearing the late, great crooner Carl Coccomo sing his favorite Italian tunes, Frank Sinatra dubbed him “The Singing Sicilian.” The nickname stuck. In 1952, Carl released the LP “The Singing Sicilian Sings International Italian Favorites” on his private-press label Siciliano Records. Fast forward to 2026: Italian food brand Bertolli has discovered the magic of The Singing Sicilian too. His beautiful melody “Rosina” (originally from the 1952 album Double Exposure) now stars in their new campaign “Flock and Rose.” Experience Carl today on the Fervor Records release The Carl Coccomo Songbook, 1952–1955 across Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, and beyond!
