USA Network’s “Queen of the South” has turned to Fervor Records for authentic Mariachi music of the 1970s. Episode 309: “El Diablo” features the song “Dame Amor” by singer/songwriter Chilo Escobedo. The tune is contained on Chilo’s LP “Su Voz Y Sus Canciones.” The album was recorded in 1977 in Mexico City where Chilo was accompanied by the legendary Mariachi Vargas.
