Fervor Dishes Out More 70s Funk

cover_FatCityFervor Records has unearthed a truly outstanding Funk rarity. The band is Fat City, the brainchild of the incredibly soulful singer, songwriter and saxophonist, Marty Ramirez. In the early 70s Marty took his seven piece Funk powerhouse from Phoenix, AZ and hit the road. The band lit up stages across the US, gigging relentlessly on national club circuits. Fat City’s non-stop touring turned the septet into a funky ass horn band that rivaled the likes of Tower Of Power, and Blood, Sweat & Tears. It didn’t take long for folks in Phoenix to realize these boys needed to be in the studio. In 1973 the band started toiling away, in after-hour sessions, at the city’s famed Audio Recorders. The result was an amazingly Funky masterpiece, but somehow the record never saw release…until today! Fervor Records is incredibly proud to offer up Fat City: Ain’t No Time For Stoppin’. Experience Fat City now on Amazon, iTunes, Spotify!
