Fervor Represents at SXSW Film Fest

Mega-festival SXSW ignites Austin, TX from March 10th – 19th. Fervor Records is proud to have music in three films premiering at this year’s SXSW Film Festival. Indie flick “The Strange Ones” premieres March 11th, and features Patsy Maples 1971 Country tearjerker “A Fancy Place To Cry.” Newline Cinema’s “The Masterpiece” debuts March 12th, and includes Francine Reed’s soulful lament “It Won’t Be Me,” as well as “Miles Away,” a 1978 Yacht Rock classic from Craig Marsden. Another indie premiering at the festival is “Hot Summer Nights.” The film features three vintage classics from Fervor including the 1968 Country gem “Maybe Tomorrow” by Jackie Stewart, Joe Montgomery’s 1957 Rockabilly hit “Planetary Run,” and “Love Walked Out,” a 1962 Doo Wop classic from The Newlyweds. Keep your eyes on these fine films to see where they land in the ever expanding universe of film distribution destinations.
