Rock n’ Roll pioneers Bob Kelly & The Pikes’ 1956 classic, When We Get Together, provides the perfect All-American backdrop for episode 403 of the HBO smash, Eastbound and Down. Kelly and crew got their start in 1954 at North Texas State University. The bands enormous success quickly catapulted Kelly’s songwritting career. Bob ultimately penned hits for icons including Gene Vincent and Elvis Presley. Mr. Kelly truly was an original music industry maverick.
