Alabama Music Hall of Fame inductee Peck Rowell was a singer, songwriter, guitarist, recording artist, disc jockey and club owner from Loachapoka, Alabama. Peck formed and fronted The Covered Wagon Boys for 32 years at his famed Blue Creek Club. The venue also hosted the likes of Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Mel Tillis, and George Jones to name a few. Peck’s band was an incubator for top tier Country players including Mike Johnson (George Strait, Reba McEntire, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson), Charlie Whitten (Martina McBride, The Judds), and his son Ernie Rowell, bassist and songwriter for George Jones, Ray Price and Mel Tillis.

Peck Rowell’s early 1950s recordings now reside at Fervor Records.
