The Revenants

Bruce Connole’s brilliant songwriting and musicianship transcends genres. A veteran of New Wave/Punk pioneers Billy Clone & The Same, and the driving force behind The Jetzons, The Strand, and Cryptics, it really came as no surprise when Connole ditched his Rock n’ Roll roots and suddenly embraced Country music. Enlisting a top notch crew of players including former Gin Blossoms guitarist Richard Taylor, Connole founded The Revenants (aka The Suicide Kings due to record industry legal wrangling). The band’s debut album “Artists & Whores,” was originally released on Epiphany Records in 1998. The record was produced by Clarke Rigsby, known for his work with legendary acts such as Paul McCartney, Glen Campbell, The Temptations, and Tower of Power to name a few. The Revenants/Suicide Kings dark twist on Honky Tonk makes for a compelling listen. The band’s multiple releases continue to land high-profile film and television placements.
