Vintage Masters: 1970-1979 CD

VM_1970-1979

The 70s were a monumental period for music as new genres such as Southern Rock, Disco, and Punk topped the charts for the very first time. Additional Pop Music styles continued to evolve and flourish, including Soul, Funk, Power Pop and Rock. The most notable sounds of the 70s are contained on this Vintage Masters release.

We had a blast researching and unearthing such an amazing collection of singles. These songs hit radio airwaves and record outlets across the country from 1970-1979. Highlights include The Triplett Twins, discovered and mentored by Curtis Mayfield, the syrupy Pop sounds of horn band, Christopher Blue, Southern Rock from Tennessee River Crooks and hits from Power Pop pioneers, Blue Shoes.

At Fervor Records, we strive to understand how music and pop-culture collide. This CD demonstrates authentic examples from the decade of Watergate, Studio 54 and Shaft.

Enjoy!
