Our goal at Fervor Records is to deliver authentic period music that defines American musical culture. We are proud to bring you Vintage Soul 1962 – 1984. We knew Soul music wasn’t confined to Motown, Memphis and Philly. It was an art form that was the lifeblood of urban communities across the US. However, when we embarked on our journey to flush out some overlooked gems of yesteryear, we never thought we’d hit the jackpot in our own backyard of Phoenix, AZ!

The body of work contained on Vintage Soul represents 22 years of music business hustle by “Mighty” Mike Lenaburg. We were drawn to his story because like all of us in this industry, we share his passion and enthusiasm for music and admire his wild ride. For Mighty Mike, the touchstones of that journey included selling sodas at sock hops at age fifteen to finance his first recording, becoming the youngest radio DJ in the Southwest, working as a successful concert promoter, road manager for icons such as Little Richard and Ike & Tina Turner, all the while founding several record labels and a publishing company as a vehicle for his songs and artists.

“Mighty” Mike Lenaburg, through hard work and perseverance, spearheaded the Soul and Funk movements of the 60s and 70s in Phoenix. Fervor Records is proud to present this catalog and continue “Mighty” Mike’s legacy.
