The Carl Coccomo Songbook: 1952-1955

After entertaining the troops on the front line of Korea, composer/vocalist Carl Coccomo crooned at popular Italian nightclubs in L.A. until he was contracted by 20th Century Fox as a soloist with the famed Ken Darby Singers. While working on the soundtrack for Oscar-winning film Three Coins In The Fountain, he was dubbed “The Singin’ Sicilian” by Frank Sinatra. Mentored by legendary songwriter Harry Warren, Coccomo recorded these two sessions in the Capitol Studios with the era’s best arrangers and players in 1952 and 1955 (the latter was originally a full-length release titled “In Double Exposure”).
