The Blaupunks

Bio

1980s Punk Rock was often a sharp instrument for bludgeoning American politics. New York City’s The Blaupunks were a solid and somewhat underrated example of straightforward, punk angst that straddled the East and West coast Punk Rock sound with catchy efficiency. The band once played with the pre-Rap hardcore version of Beastie Boys and was a staple at venues like CBGBs and the Dirt Club from 1982 to 1987. Fervor Records is home to The Blaupunks’ You Fools EP.
