Fervor Exec Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award
Fervor Records/Wild Whirled founder and CEO David Hilker is being honored by his home state of Iowa.
The Iowa Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame is inducting Hilker over their Labor Day weekend ceremonies and handing him the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award.
David’s extensive lifelong career has covered virtually all facets of the music biz.
Hilker states, “I owe a deep gratitude to everyone that has mentored and guided me along this incredible journey. This really is a testament to my family, friends, colleagues and clients who have believed in my dreams and supported my vision. It’s an incredible thrill to be honored by my home state as this is where it all started.”
Other luminaries with Iowa ties to be honored by the organization include, Ritchie Valens, The Everly Brothers, Wanda Jackson, Tommy Roe, Elvin Bishop, The Big Bopper, BJ Thomas and Brenda Lee.
Hilker, along with John Costello founded Fervor Records and Wild Whirled Music in 1990. The team added Jeff Freundlich in 2002.
