Jack’s Four On The Newsroom Floor In Ep107 (HBO)

Fervor Vintage Masters has sneaked in another classic to the HBO canon of critically acclaimed television.  Their latest hit, cable-news drama The Newsroom aired it’s 7th episode over the weekend (Aug 5th) and has just confirmed it’s been renewed for a second season. With serious real-world research behind it, and stars like Jeff Daniels and Emily Mortimer, the show has proven to be a realistic and dramatic powerhouse thus far.

Sunday’s episode, titled “5/1” was full of intensity as the team had some critical decisions to make but was tempered by a simple, sweet early Rock n Roll song, “Dearest One” by Jack’s Four.

The track, which was recorded in 1960, bears a strong resemblance to the late-great Roy Orbison and has that quintessential sound of the era.  It is currently available on the Fervor Records release Cult Hits of the 1960’s, Volume 1.
